About

The table

We rate eleven AI roleplay and character-chat platforms out of twenty. The score lands in one of four tiers: Legendary at nineteen or above, Epic at sixteen plus, Rare at fourteen plus, and Common at twelve plus. Anything below twelve is not assigned a tier. Each review carries genre tags and practical guides for getting the most out of the platform.

How the rating is rolled

The d20 here is weighted. Staying in character and remembering the story count double. Character building counts at one and a half. Pictures, voice, and value round out the modifiers at standard weight. Every score rests on a shared evidence base: each platform's own documentation plus the pages that rank on Google for the category, distilled into twenty-seven scored dimensions across seven pillars. Each dimension carries an evidence note and source, shown on every page in the sites as a detailed scorecard.

Scores are re-checked quarterly, and any changes are logged on the page. No platform pays for a score, a rank, or a listing. Links may carry referral tags; these never affect a score.

Where the lore comes from

Our evidence base draws from two sources: the platform's own documentation, and the pages that currently rank on Google for the AI roleplay and character-chat category. These are distilled into twenty-seven scored dimensions across seven pillars. Every dimension on every review carries an evidence note and source. The scorecard is there for you to inspect, challenge, or verify.

The game master

The table is run by Scott Dommett, founding editor. He has spent two years inside the AI companion and generative adult-content category as a paying user of most of the products covered. Reach him through the contact page or directly at gm@airoleplaysites.com.

Corrections

Scores are re-checked quarterly, and any changes are logged on the page. If you spot an error in the evidence base, a misread source, or a dimension that needs updating, send word to gm@airoleplaysites.com. We correct the record and note the revision.

Banned from the table

This is an adults-only review space. Any platform permitting content involving minors or non-consensual imagery of real people is excluded and reported. No roll can save that character sheet.
